The Kiwanis Camp Capstone is a two week supervised and supportive summer experience that serves summer campers with a variety of abilities/disabilities. Students attend a training session May 19th and then spend two weeks as a counselor at the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp. Room and board are included and tuition remains the same as any other course.
What You Do: As a Kiwanis Camp counselor, you will stretch your vision of who you are and what you can do. You are never required to work alone; experienced and capable staff help you in all aspects of the program. You will provide a tremendous service to an underserved population while learning incredibly practical communication, teamwork and critical reflection skills applicable to ANY major.
